Séamus Mullen

Assistant Manager

Séamus is Assistant Manager for the Western Investing for Health Partnership, based in Gransha Park House. He is responsible for development of IFH sub-groups, projects addressing the IFH strategy and strategy/policy development for IFH.  Some of the key initiatives he is leading at the minute for the Partnership include: Stress and Emotional Well-being in the workplace; Rural Stress and Isolation; Health Promoting Homes; Migrant Workers Initiative; RAFAEL – `Renaissance of Authentic Food in the Atlantic Area promoting Economic Links`; and the development of a baseline audit entitled ‘The State of Our Health’.

Séamus was previously employed by Strabane and Derry Local Strategy Partnerships where he was responsible for the management of the Partnership’s Research and Evaluation Programme, GIS Development and a portfolio of Peace 2 Projects.  Prior to this, he was employed in a range of roles with the Rural Development Council for Northern Ireland.  He graduated from Queens University in 1994 with a Postgraduate in Town and Country Planning.

Outside work, Séamus is Chairperson of Strabane and District Playclub and has a keen interest in motorsports.
