Jeff from Strabane ws the Community Co-Chair of the Western Investing for Health Partnership from March 2007 - March 2009. Manager of the Koram Centre, Strabane, he has extensive community development experience and has been to the fore of developing and directing emotional support services at the Centre since 1997. His experience has led to him assisting the Sperrin Lakeland Health Trust’s Psychological Interventions Sub-Group with its local mental health review.
A promoter of empowerment methods to address psycho-social need and develop social capital, he is actively seeking to build partnerships across sectors for the purpose of developing and sustaining quality cost-efficient services fundamental to improving health and well-being and reducing health inequalities.
He is currently Vice - Chair of Strabane Local Strategy Partnership and holds directorships with Strabane Citizen’s Advice Bureau and Strabane Lifford Women’s Centre. His work with victims and survivors of the 'Troubles' has led to him now Co-Chairing the WHSSB Trauma Advisory Panel. He also holds various representative positions with the South West LSP Community Victims & Survivors Initiative, the Mid-Ulster Victims and Survivors Rural Network and the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland (CFNI).
