Brenda MacQueen

Brenda is currently Managing Director of The Dry Arch Centre (for Families) in Dungiven and Limavady, a project which she has lead and developed from the beginning.   The Centre is now one of the leading Family Centres in Northern Ireland and has been awarded Good Practice Network status by the Department of Health Social Services and Public Safety Policy Section (one of only 3 in Northern Ireland) and is also a SureStart provider.  

Brenda has undergraduate and Postgraduate work in the fields of Psychology, Housing, Health and Social Services Management and Psychotheraphy, and is undertaking a MSc in Child Psychotheraphy. 

She chaired the Limavady District Partnership for two years before acting as vice chair of the new structure, Local Strategy Partnership.  Brenda is chair of the Limavady Early Years Forum and a member of the Western Area Children and Young Peoples Committee as well as the Western Area ChildCare Partnership.  

Her passion is the protection of Children and the creation of High Quality, affordable and easily assessible Family Support and ChildCare Servies for all Familes, towards a better quality of life.  

Brenda is married to Steven and has two Children, Richard aged 14 and Victoria aged 11.
