Ann Orr has been Co ordinater of Women in Agriculture in Fermanagh since 1999. An organisation set up to support farm women and their families. WIA now caters for both farm and rural women in the county. In the past we have delivered a raft of Health, Environmental, ICT, Leadership & Small Business projects. The current focus of WIA at grass roots level is peace & reconciliation with victims and survivors. We are also strengthening our links with business women in Northern Italy and Republic of Ireland whilst building new networks with agencies across the province in order to realise more sustainable methods of living for all.
Locally, I am involved in church life, local history & archaeology. I am involved in environmental issues and solutions and in community development at various levels, being part and working for small groups and larger projects locally. I enjoy floristry, sightseeing, travelling, growing our own, and having the time for the odd ceildh with the elderly residents in the rural countryside to collect the folklore.
