Paul currently works for the North West Development Office, part of the Urban Regeneration and Community Development Group within the Department for Social Development. His role is to oversee the implementation of the Neighbourhood Renewal strategy in Derry, Strabane and Limavady. The aim of the strategy is to tackle disadvantage in the most deprived neighbourhoods across Northern Ireland. Paul has worked in the North West Development Office since 2003 but also had a stint carrying out similar work in the Belfast Regeneration Office. Prior to that, he spent seven years working for the Child Support Agency.
Paul’s main interest is football, playing as well as supporting both his local club Derry City and Manchester United. He also enjoys music, particularly live as well as reading, comedy and chess.
